Project Summary -

This was an extension of a Science laboratory, utilising a redundant store room. RD Jukes completed the project with a Principle Contractor. The project included new lighting, LED lighting, emergency lighting, small power, containment services at high level above ceilings, Voice and Data, Fire Alarm and Mechanical services power supplies. Due to the nature of the building, RD Jukes had to arrange with estates department the Safe Isolation of Circuits and access to the Distributuion Boards's, Riser Cupboard and Crawl way area above corridors.

The project incorporated the following works -

• Stripping Out and Modifications of Existing Services
• New Distribution and Switchgear to suit
• Lighting including emergency lighting
• Small Power
• All Associated Containment
• Fire Alarm by specialists
• Voice/Data by specialists
• All Electrical Works Tested and Results Recorded

All installed items meet the following standards -

• BS 7671:2008 (amendment 1:2011)
• BS EN 61439
• BS 5424 (Parts 2 & 3)
• BS 7430

R.D. Jukes & Co. Ltd. worked closely with the services Design Consultant and Principal Contractor to deliver this refurbishment project for Aston University.
