Project Summary -

R.D. Jukes acted as the main contractor on this scheme meaning we were responsible for all health and safety policies, site set up, traffic management and builder's works. Electrical scope of works was to replace 2 No. existing LV switch panels with new purpose built switch panels. Each panel supported a 7 floor block of the hospital. This meant that temporary generators had to be installed to support the hospital whilst shutdowns were taking place. The scheme included LV & HV cable diversions/joints, new SWA cabling and containment systems.

The project incorporated the following works -

• Stripping Out and Modifications of Existing Services
• New Distribution and Switchgear to suit
• Small Power
• All Associated Containment
• LV Switchboard
• Generator Panel / Changeover Panel
• New Sub-Mains Cabling
• All Electrical Works Tested and Results Recorded

All installed items meet the following standards -

• BS 7671:2008 (amendment 1:2011)
• BS EN 61439
• BS 5424 (Parts 2 & 3)
• BS 7430

R.D. Jukes & Co. Ltd. worked closely with the services Design Consultant and Principal Contractor to deliver this refurbishment project for Heart Of England NHS Foundation Trust.
