Project Summary -

The project was to deliver a new build, two storey School and Community Library with Sixth Form facility, Gym, Drama Studio and external works. R.D. Jukes & Co. Ltd. were responsible for the installation of a new power distribution system, new internal and external lighting including emergency provision (some of which included a day light dimming facility). We were also responsible for the installation of Small power, Voice/Data, Fire Alarm, Intruder Alarm, Lightning Protection and Door Access. 

The project incorporated the following works -

• New 3 Phase Western Power Distribution System
• Sub-Mains Distribution
• Lighting including emergency lighting
• Small Power
• All Associated Containment
• Fire Alarm modifications
• Intruder Alarm modifications
• Lightning Protection modifications
• Voice/Data
• Door Access modifications
• All Electrical Works Tested and Results Recorded

All installed items meet the following standards -

• BS 7671:2008 (amendment 1:2011)
• BS EN 61439
• BS 5424 (Parts 2 & 3)
• BS 7430

R.D. Jukes & Co. Ltd. worked closely with the services Design Consultant and Principal Contractor to deliver this project for Woodrush Academy.
