Project Summary -

This project was completed in May 2015 and was required by the client to ease the backlog of day case theatre operations. The Mobile theatre is initially expected to be on site for 12 months but this could be much longer.

The project offered a number of challenges, one of the toughest being the installation of new SWA cables routed through the hospital basement tunnels containing asbestos. With careful planning looking at the fixing methods of our cables and with various permits we were able to complete the installation.

The modular building was then integrated into the existing building by use of a newly installed cladded corridor.

The project incorporated the following works -

  • LED Lighting
  • Emergency Lighting
  • External Lighting
  • Feeder Pillar
  • Small Power
  • Voice and Data
  • Fire Alarm System
  • Lightning Protection
  • Door Access

All installed items meet the following standards -

  • BS 7671:2008 (amendment 1:2011)
  • BS EN 61439
  • BS 5424 (Parts 2 & 3)
  • BS 7430
